WebJan 26, 2024 · Light field regulation is a method to control light field by using optical devices such as microlens arrays and a cylindrical mirror. It is widely used in lighting systems in recent years. LEDs are optically designed twice before they become lighting products to realize light field regulation [ 27, 28 ]. WebOur work establishes optical fiber bundles as a new class of light field sensor, alongside microlens arrays (1–4), aperture masks , angle-sensitive pixels , and camera arrays . We demonstrate that optical fiber bundles can perform single-shot surface and depth mapping with accuracy better than 10 μm at up to ~80 μm from the fiber bundle facet.
